I’m writing this post while snow drifts down gently outside my window and covers the tree with a fresh dusting of powdered goodness. I don’t care that public transport grinds to a halt or drivers freak out in the snow — today is so beautiful and I am loving Vancouver’s early Christmas present!

It’s been a week of fun, food, and friends — and with Christmas week starting, there’s more good things to come. Although I still love (and miss!) having Christmas in the middle of a long, hot summer, I have to admit the songs and traditions make more sense when it’s cold and snowing!

Sadly, the snow is already melting but I’m still in Christmas mode. Next up is a trip to Colorado to spend time with some of our best mates from home. I’m looking forward to a week of skiing, exploring a new area, and catching up with friends. Even if it’s an “orphan’s Christmas”, we’ll make it one to remember! Hope you have a fabulous Christmas, wherever you spend it.
